ENTRY GUARDS

Why Bestop Entry Guards - Okay I went with the name that I know means quality.  That was until I saw these things.  They are cheap plastic that didn't fit right with very little double sided tape to hold them down.  I really wonder where they got them.  They will be coming off in the near future when I get my other set.

Installation:
1. This is a no brainier.  Pull off the strip from the double sided tape, line up between the door edges and press down.  Never mind the fact that it doesn't fit and flaps around.  Like I said very poor quality on this item. bestop guard bestop edge on

UPDATE:
I purchased my second set of Entry Guards.  These are solid steel with a Rubicon powder coat by Olympic.  The tolerances are really close on these and they fit perfectly over the lip.  I don't worry about catching anything on these.  I should have gotten these in the first place.  Oh to pull the old ones off all I did was give it one quick tug and they popped right off.  Took a little longer to get the tape off, but not really time consuming.  These install the same way as the Bestop's with some double sided tape.

Common Sense and Safety should always be observed when working on your vehicle or doing modifications. Jackstands, wheel blocks, disconnecting the battery are a few of the basic safety precautions that should be used and may not be mentioned in the write ups on this site. You are responsible for your own installation, these write ups are a helpful guideline and should not be taken as an official installation instruction. My write up may be different from the kits currently out there, so alwasy double check the manufacturers installation instructions when installing anything. I try to keep the site up to date with changes that have occured as I discover them, but may not have the latest unless someone lets me know. If you feel that an install is above your capabilities after reading my write ups, I recommend getting together with a club and getting some help. Only a few times have I needed to employe some actual help from a shop to get something done. Usually welding or A/C work. While I have spent many years working on mechanical systems, I am not an expert, nor do I pretend to be one. I hope these write ups have been useful to you.
